Veterans Athletic Club (Vets AC) is one of London’s longest-established masters athletics clubs, founded in 1931. It’s aimed primarily at veteran and masters runners (typically aged 35 and over), offering a competitive yet supportive environment for people to continue running and racing as they get older. Members compete in a wide range of athletics disciplines, including road races, cross-country, track and field events and race walking, and take part in both local and national fixtures for masters athletes. The club is affiliated with organisations such as England Athletics and the British Masters Athletics Federation (BMAF) Vets AC members compete in a range of scheduled masters events, including: Battersea Park road races, such as the British Masters 5 km and other distance championships. Surrey League cross-country races across regional venues (e.g., Richmond Park, Hurst Green, Oxshott Woods, Lloyd Park). VAC road and masters races held in London and the South East, including various distances and age-group championships. Events such as the Vitality Westminster Mile in central London.
