Let's Fetz Run Club

Nina had spent fifteen years on a tennis court before an injury stopped it all. When she moved to Klagenfurt am Wörthersee from Slovakia, running became her next discipline, a place where showing up was enough. She arrived at the Alpen-Adria-Universität and found no run club. Rather than wait, she and Natascha started one in December 2024, and thirty students showed up that first morning. Today, Let's Fetz Run Club has grown to around fifty runners, from complete beginners to Ironman athletes, all sharing the same Sunday start line at the ÖH Wohnzimmer at 10:00. The name itself says it all: "Fetz" is Austrian for that feeling of energy and speed, the kind of word that belongs on a starting line. There is no membership fee, no pace threshold, no gatekeeping. Natascha leads pace groups herself, running alongside everyone else. Tuesday evening runs offer a social midweek option. Thursday interval sessions, started by Baptiste, a former French national team runner, give those who want to push their pace a proper place to do it. Beyond the weekly schedule, the crew has built signature events: colour-coded runs like Run.Flirt.Repeat, trail runs led by Felix, and a group run with the Ironman Austria 2025 female winner. What binds them is simple: runners who needed exactly what Nina needed when she first arrived, somewhere to belong, someone to run with. Coffee after the run is where the real community gets made.
